1. The Notebook
An old Duke, resident in a nursing home reads a story from his notebook to a fellow resident who has senile dementia with memory loss. The Notebook takes us back to the 1940s. The story goes like this, In South Carolina, a mill worker named Noah meets a rich girl named Allie at a carnival. They soon desperately fall in love with each other. And like every other love stories Allie’s parents don’t approve of their relationship since Noah belongs to another social class. Then Allie’s family move back to New York. Noah writes letters to Allie every day but her mother does not deliver them to Allie. Three years go by then comes a time when Noah goes off to serve in World War II. At this point, it looks like their love story is going to end for good. Allie works as an army nurse and becomes involved in a relationship with another man. Two years later, Noah returns to their town But Allie’s marriage is fixed now. She feels divided and has to choose between her fiancé and her love. But it soon becomes clear as a day that their love affair is so deep it can’t be over.

2. Love Actually
Love Actually is a romantic comedy that tells us about Nine stories to explain how one emotion- love affects us in different ways. David is a handsome guy who had recently been elected prime minister for the British Government. He feels attracted to one of the young junior members of his staff, Nattalie and she feels the same way. Billy Mack is an aged rock singer and he is releasing his new single ‘Love Is All Around’ for Christmas with the help of his manager Joe. At first, they are not happy with the record they got, in fact, they think it is terrible. They still release the single and guess what, It becomes the number 1 hit in the country. Then they celebrate their long-time friendship which shows very deep emotion. Juliet and Peter are a newlywed couple. Peter’s best friend Mark who was also the best man has videotaped the wedding. Everybody believes Mark does not like Juliet that is until she forcefully watches the videotape. It turns out he secretly loves her because he taped only close-ups of Juliet. A crime novelist, Jamie goes to attend Peter and Juliet’s wedding. He returns early and discovers that his girlfriend is cheating on him with his own brother. Jamie is frustrated and goes to his cottage in France where he meets Aurélia. Aurélia speaks Portuguese which Jamie does not understand and she does not understand English but they still manage to develop feelings for each other. He then comes back to England and tries to learn Portuguese, travels to Portugal, and proposes to her. Harry and Karren are married, happy, and successful. Mia, Harry’s new secretary, starts to flirt with Harry and he likes the attention from a much younger employee. So he buys a necklace for her but Karren sees it first and becomes happy. She thought he bought it for her. But when Christmas comes Karren discovers that it was not meant for her. Karren feels betrayed and confronts Harry. Sam is Daniel’s stepson. Sam’s mother recently passed away. Sam is in love with one of his classmates. Daniel tries to unite them together. Sarah and Karl have been colleagues for a long time. The work at a graphic design company owned by Harry. They love each other but did not approach each other yet. On Christmas evening they get together but later the evening is disrupted by Sarah’s mentally ill brother. Colin is the caterer at Peter and Juliet’s wedding. He pursued a number of women but has been unlucky. He believes that American women like British guys. So he goes off to America and meets three beautiful girls who invite him to stay with them during the trip. John both are stand-ins body doubles for movies. They do a lovemaking scene for a film where they feel a connection with each other.

Joel and Clementine have been in a relationship for a very long time. After a long and painful fight, Clementine erases the memories of Joel from her mind with the help of a firm called Lacuna. When Joel comes to know about it, he feels left off and decides to do the same thing his girlfriend did. After he undergoes the procedure, he slowly begins to forget his memories of her girlfriend. This movie shows the deep emotions of a loving couple forgetting each other slowly.

4. Before Sunrise
It all starts on a train from Budapest to Viena. Celine is France and a graduate student. She came to Budapest to visit her grandmother. Jesse is an American tourist who has been traveling all over Europe. Although they meet by chance, soon it becomes clear that it was meant to happen. They start talking and instantly they develop a connection between them. When the train arrives at Viena Jesse insists that Celine should get off the train with him. Jesse’s flight to America is in the next morning and he has no money to check into a hotel. So with no money, they walk around the city together. By wandering the city together all night long they take an experience of a lifetime with them. The more they talk to each other the more they come closer. As the night turns to morning, separating from each other becomes harder.

This movie is based on an 1813 Jane Austen’s romantic novel ‘Pride and Prejudice’. Plotted in England countryside the movie beautifully executes the characters of the Bennet family, the livelihood of 5 sisters, their parents. Mr. Bingley and his best friend, Mr. Darcy arrive at Longbourn. Mr. Bingley rents the nearby estate of Netherfield Park. Mr. Bingley is a man of huge wealth. Mr. Bennet sees this as an opportunity to give one of his daughters to him as a wife. Elizabeth Bennet is one of the five daughters. So Mr. Bennet pressures pressure her to be likable to Mr. Bingley and marry him. Bennet’s family first meets Mr. Bingley and Mr. Darcy at Meryton Ball. Mr. Bingley immediately takes a liking to Jane Bennet and Mr. Darcy to Elizabeth. Mr. Bingely’s sister, Caroline hopes to attract Mr. Darcy, grows extremely angry with Elizabeth. She constantly mocks Elizabeth’s lowly status. Then love twists and turns in every possible way. All these events begin a wonderful love story.

A newly recruited girl named Summer, it’s her first day as an AA in Tom’s office. Tom develops a feeling at the first glance. They start dating in a casual fashion at first then after a while, it becomes serious. Suddenly, She breaks up with him. Then the 500 days they been known each other are shown randomly in the movie. He reflects on their 500 days together to try to figure out where their love affair went wrong. At last, he pursues his true passion to be an architect.

8. A Walk to Remember
This movie is about two very young lives. A prank on a guy by a high school senior Landon Carter popular goes wrong. He gets punished to join in after-school community service. So he starts to spend time with her, but he did not expect to like her which he eventually does. This movie tells how sweet and sincere love can be, two eighteen-year-olds are deeply in love in North Carolina. They go through a painful phase, but they can’t do a thing about it because some inevitable truth comes out that humans can not fix. The affection between the two of them is inspirational. They are in a deep relationship in which they discover harsh truths that could take the best of us a lifetime to learn.

9. The Fault in Our Stars
This movie is based on the novel ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ by John Green. A 16-year-old named Hazel Grace Lancaster has been living with thyroid cancer for three years. A 17-year-old boy named Augustus Waters. They meet at a cancer patient support group meeting. They start to hang out and eventually fall in love. Hazel feels that Waters really gets her as she is. They both share the same interests. Hazel always has a constant companion which is an oxygen tank, Waters becomes her second constant companion and they try to get the best their life could offer. This sad and loving story is one of the best in its class and will touch everyone’s emotions.

As they spend time together, Will Traynor feels a change, they start to treat one another with honesty. They make each other happier and fell in love. As the story goes on, their lives change in so many different ways that neither one could have even imagined.
