Microsoft Account without Password
The general idea is that you use an app like Microsoft Authenticator. Which connects to your phone, or Windows Hello, which allows users to sign in with their face, fingerprint, or personal identification number. Users will get a security key or verification code by phone or email. Both of which are more secure than a simple, guessable password.
However, passwordless signing in may not be available to all users right away. But it will allow you to sign in to Microsoft apps such as Outlook and OneDrive.
Commercial customers can now access their accounts without a password from March.
If you regret removing the password for your Microsoft account, you can always switch back to the password.
