Netflix Games: How to play games on Netflix

Netflix Games, Netflix is expanding its offerings beyond films and television to include video games. As a result, Android users can now download a variety of games to use with the Netflix app.

Five are currently available, with more expected to be added over time, and we’ll guide you through how to access them below.

However, if you’re on iOS, you won’t be able to access games on Netflix just yet – the service is in the works for iPhones and iPads, but there’s no word on when it will be available.

When it does launch, the implementation may differ slightly from that of Android, with games potentially having to be downloaded individually from the App Store rather than being hosted on the Netflix app.

How to Get Netflix Games on Your Android Phone or Tablet

It’s easy to get games on Netflix, so just follow these steps to get started.

  1. Download and install Netflix on your device.
This is probably self-evident, but in order to play games on Netflix, you must have a Netflix account and an active subscription. So, if you don’t already have one, sign up and then download the app to your phone or tablet.
  2. Find the games row or games tab.
If you’re using an Android phone, you should see a dedicated games row as well as a games tab on the Netflix home screen, whereas Android tablets will have a games row as well as a games option in the categories drop down.
  3. Choose a game to download and play.
To download the game, first tap ‘Get Game,’ then ‘Go to Google Play.’ The game is then installed directly from the Play Store – simply tap ‘Install’ on the store page that appears.

What should you do if you can’t find the Netflix games tab?

While accessing games on Netflix is simple, the games section isn’t visible to everyone at the time of writing. That’s because Netflix is gradually rolling it out, but you don’t have to wait – the games are also available for download on the Play Store.

Stranger Things: 1984, Stranger Things 3: The Game, Shooting Hoops, Teeter Up, and Card Blast are among the games available. You’d launch them like any other app or game after downloading them this way, so you wouldn’t have to enter the Netflix app. You will, however, require a Netflix account.

What else do you need to know about Netflix games?

Aside from the foregoing, it’s worth noting that Netflix games are free with your standard Netflix subscription and are available on all Netflix price plans, so you don’t need the four-screen Netflix Premium subscription.

There are no advertisements or in-app purchases, and all profiles on your account (except children’s profiles) will have access to the games. Some games will also be available offline, allowing you to play even if you don’t have an internet connection.
