The year is officially coming to an end, and Google is bringing in the new year with its annual best app of 2021. Balance and Pokémon Unite are at the top of the list, but numerous other apps and games have received recognition.
Google has announced the winners of its “Google Play’s Best of 2021” awards, which recognize the best apps and games from the previous year.
The list begins with Balance, the best overall app of the year, and Pokemon UNITE, the best game. There are also user-chosen winners, with Paramount+ and Garena Free Fire MAX taking the top spots.
Following that, the list categorizes everything, from “Apps for Good” to “Personal Growth,” and then tablets, Wear OS, and Google TV. You’ll also find similar categories for games, many of which are indie titles that Google seems eager to share.
While I believe that many of our smartphone and tablet experiences are locked into apps and games that we’ve all used for years and are rarely replaced, these are the lists to look at if you’re looking for something new.
