Best music player apps for Android

Because of music streaming, private music collections are no longer a thing. However, many people still value the advantages of having their music library. Higher-quality music is available, works offline, and is less expensive in the long run. When it comes to grooving out to your favorite tracks, there are lots of possibilities. Here are our top selections for the best Android music player apps.

AIMP

Best music player apps for Android

AIMP is a sophisticated music app for mobile devices. It supports various music file formats, including FLAC, MP3, MP4, etc. You’ll also get access to different customization choices, such as theming and other fun stuff. We had no trouble navigating the app or listening to music because it has a primary user interface. With a decent Material Design UI, it keeps things simple.

Its superb equalization, HTTP live streaming, and loudness normalization were highly complimented. It’s a significant improvement over most simple music player apps. If you want to kill two birds with one stone, there is also a desktop version. The main drawback is the possibility of MIUI and EMUI device compatibility concerns.

BlackPlayer EX

Best music player apps for Android

BlackPlayer is a simple yet elegant music player that puts very little in the way of you listening to your Music. It has a tabbed interface, and you may configure the tabs so that you only see the ones you desire. It also has an equalizer, widgets, scrobbling, an ID3 tag editor, no adverts, themes, and support for most popular music formats.

It’s pleasantly straightforward, and it’s an excellent choice for minimalists. The free edition is somewhat limited, whereas the paid version offers significantly more functionality. Fortunately, the pro version isn’t prohibitively pricey. The free edition of BlackPlayer appears to be unavailable as of our July 2019 update. We’ll revisit it in a few months to see whether it reappears.

DoubleTwist Music Player

Over the years, DoubleTwist Music Player has had its ups and downs. However, it is currently on the rise and is an excellent all-around music player. The free edition has a lot to offer, with practically all essentials. You will get Playlists, the most popular audio codec support (including FLAC and ALAC), a simple UI, Chromecast support, and Android Auto support.

Apple AirPlay compatibility is an optional add-on ($5.99), and a premium version ($8.99) includes AirPlay and a 10-band equalizer, SuperSound, themes, and other features. In addition, the free edition allows you to listen to local radio stations; therefore, there is a music streaming component. Podcast listeners also have some features, such as the premium version’s ability to skip silences. It’s a little pricy, but it’s worth it in the end.

MediaMonkey

Best music player apps for Android

In music player apps, MediaMonkey is a bit of a dark horse. It contains a slew of features, including organizational tools for audiobooks and podcasts and the ability to sort Music by composer (instead of just artist). It also includes essential elements such as an equalizer.

The ability to sync your music library from your computer to your phone (and back) over WiFi distinguishes MediaMonkey as a unique music player. It’s a little tricky to set up, but it’s a one-of-a-kind feature. Plus, it syncs virtually identically to iTunes with the desktop version through a cable, making it one of the most acceptable methods to manage huge local collections between platforms.

Musicolet

Best music player apps for Android

Musicolet is a straightforward music player. It contains many appealing features, including those that aren’t commonly found in music player apps. This features an offline-only experience, a lightweight user interface, and a tiny APK file size. Multiple queues (another rarity), an equalizer, a tag editor, support for embedded lyrics, widgets, folder browsing, and more are all included in the program.

Its straightforward approach is refreshing. This is an excellent choice for those who want a music player who plays Music without many frills. It’s also 100% free, with no in-app purchases and no advertising due to the lack of Internet access.

Neutron Player

Best music player apps for Android

Another music app that isn’t nearly as popular as it should be is Neutron Music Player. The developers have a 32/64-bit audio rendering engine independent of the Android OS. The theory is that it improves the sound of Music.

It also contains several other features, such as support for more unusual file types (FLAC, MPC, and so on), an equalization built-in, and many other audiophile-specific capabilities. It’s a little pricey, and the user interface isn’t the finest on the list. Everything else about it, though, is excellent.

PlayerPro Music Player

Another lesser-known music software that should be garnering more attention is PlayerPro Music Player. It has an excellent interface that makes everything simple to use and skins that you can download and install for more personalization. You’ll also get video playback, a unique ten-band equalization, Android Auto and Chromecast compatibility, numerous audio effects, widgets, and some fun small features like shaking the phone to change tunes. Poweramp Music Player

Best music player apps for Android

Poweramp has long been their preferred music player app for many Android users. It offers a simple interface with themes available from the Google Play Store. Sometimes the UI is too sophisticated for its sound. It’s fast, efficient, and robust otherwise, and there are themes if you want to go that route. The app also contains several playback capabilities, including gapless playback, crossfade, and support for a variety of playlist formats, as well as Android Auto support.

Widgets, tag editing, and other customization options are also available. If necessary, you can even download lyrics. It’s a strong performer who appears to hit the right note with practically everyone.
