General Manager – Commercial (FCI BD)

Job Context : This Position will be responsible for developing and implementing the commercial strategy and direction of projects, negotiating with key stakeholders, managing relationships with suppliers, and overseeing various aspects of commercial activities, including import, export, licensing, and documentation. * EPZ Factory Experience is mandatory.

Job Responsibilities :

1. Develop and implement the commercial strategy for the organization.
2. Provide leadership in advising on pricing for commercial contracts.
3. Negotiate effectively with customers, suppliers, and manufacturers.
4. Build and manage strong relationships with suppliers.
5. Manage and provide necessary export and import documents for a smooth export-import process.
6. Ensure the renewal of IRC, ERC, and all other related licenses.
7. Work closely with regulatory bodies such as BEPZA, EPB, BGMEA, BKMEA, General Bond Office, Customs, and others.
8. Oversee Freight Forwarder/Shipping Agent management.
9. Handle shipping line and transport-related concerns for the timely delivery of goods.
10. Monitor and track various stages of export/import and payment follow-up.
11. Responsible for all commercial activities, including Import, Export, UD, GSP, BOND, Cash Incentive, etc.
12. Follow up on maintaining passbooks, Customs audits, and related works in bond commission rate.
13. Work closely with banks, BEPZA, EPB, BGMEA, BKMEA, General Bond Office, Customs, shipping lines, freight forwarders, C & F, etc.
14. Collaborate with internal departments to accomplish overall business objectives.
15. Analyze data and create reports to identify areas of business growth.
16. Accomplish departmental objectives by planning and evaluating department activities.
17. Responsible for preparing departmental SOPs and maintaining them accordingly.
