Snapdragon 888 Plus
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC was announced as a flagship at MWC 2021. The new processor has been slightly upgraded to the Snapdragon 888 SoC, offering improved Qualcomm Kryo 680 CPU Prime core clock speeds up to 3.0GHz and 6th generation Qualcomm AI with up to 32 TOPS (Tera Operations Per Second) AI performance. The company claims that the engine has improved by more than 20%. Besides this, the new Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC is almost the same as the sibling model released in December last year, and the new model will enhance the new flagship released in the second half of 2021.
Difference Between Snapdragon 888 plus vs Snapdragon 888
The big difference is that the Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC has an improved Kryo 680 core clock at 2.995GHz. The 6th generation Qualcomm Hexagon 780 AI processor can offer 32 TOPS instead of 26 TOPS on today’s popular Snapdragon 888 SoCs. Everything else is almost the same. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 Plus has an Adreno 660 GPU and a 7.5Gbps maximum DL speed Snapdragon X60 5G modem. Qualcomm FastConnect 6900 supports the latest WiFi standards for fast downloads. Qualcomm announced that a commercial device based on the Snapdragon 888 Plus will be announced in the third quarter of 2021.
Camera Improvement
